GAVELDA, Walter J.

Walter J. Gavelda, Jr., 61 of Scottsdale AZ, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away June 12, 2007. Walter was preceded in death by his father, Walter, Sr.; brothers, William and Richard; and cousin, Agnes Budz. He is survived by his wife, Alice; sons, Eric (Kathy) and Mark; mother, Josephine; sister, Bernadette (Leo) Priebe; sisters-in-law, Arlene Glonek and Pat Gavelda; cousins, Tom Budz, Herb (Barb) Hrebic; uncles, Father Alban Hrebic, OSB, and Joseph Hrebic; nephews, Chrstopher (Jodi), Aaron and Richard (Ana); nieces, Jenny (Mike), Julie (Jeff), Lisa, Georgeanne (Glen), Robin (John) and Wendy. Visitation was held Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Hansen Desert Hills Chapel, 6500 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale. Mass of the Resurrection was held Friday, June 15, 2007 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 11001 N. 40th St., Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Vista Care Hospice, 4800 N. Scottsdale Rd., Suite 3500, Scottsdale, AZ, 85251.
