Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from April 13 to April 20, 2012 - Donald Wallick, age 87, a 24-year resident of Bullhead City and Fort Mojave, Ariz., died Sunday, April 8, 2012, in Bullhead City, Ariz. Don was born August 24, 1924, in South Gate, Calif. After graduation from South Gate High in 1942, he joined the Army serving in World War II and the Korean War in 1950. Don owned Wallick Hardware store in Long Beach, Calif. for 20 years. He then went to work for So. Calif. Edison where he retired after 22 years, and moved to Bullhead City. He was a life time member of American Legion, and was a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. Dad, you will always be loved and never forgotten. Don was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Priscilla; two sons, John (Lori) Wallick of McMinnville, Ore., and Michael Wallick of Palm Springs, Calif.; three daughters, Jeanne Anne (Gary) Landi of Rio Vista, Calif., Cassie (John) Lafond of Southgate, Calif., and Susan Wallick of Redding, Calif; three step-children, Jan (Jerry) Jara of Bullhead City, Richard (Edith) Nickerson of Kings Mountain, N.C., and John (Gayle) Cunningham of Winston, Salem, N.C.; 11 grandchildren, Suzanda, JB, Jason, Jessica, Jonathan, Rose, Mallory, Joey, Billy, Alice and Carolyn Sue; and four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Savannah, Marissa and Ben. Viewing will be at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church, 1691 N. Oatman Road, Bullhead City. Services will follow at 9.00 a.m., with Father Peter Dombrowski officiating. Don's final resting place will be at All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach, Calif.
