TORREZ, Joe William (WIA)

Griffith Mortuary Kearny, Az. 16 April 2012 Joe W. Torrez, 72, of Winkelman, AZ passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Banner Heart Hospital, Mesa, AZ. Joe was born the son of Guillermo and Guadalupe (Gutierrez) Torrez on March 3, 1940 in Hayden, AZ. Joe went to work for the school system of Hayden-Winkelman, retiring after 46 years of service. Joe married Rebeca Ribvera on February 22, 1976 in Hayden, making their home in Winkelman. Joe enjoyed visiting with former students. He loved to dance and spend time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Joe was an active member of St. Joseph Parish and donated a lot of time at the Church. Joe is survived by his wife: Rebeca Torrez; children: Joe Paul Torrez, Molly (Angel) Jacobo, Jessie (Marcos) Hernandez, Jesus (Angela) Torrez and Vanessa Torres; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 3 brothers: Alex, Rufino and Louie; and five sisters: Annie Caballero, Rosa Barnum, Carmen Endino, Jenny Castañon and Mary Hueta. Joe will be deeply missed. Interment will be Thursday April 19, 2012 at Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden, Az.
