PEACOCK, Calvin Alexander (Alex)

Calvin Alexander "Alex" Peacock, 88, of Syssott, New York one of the last few of the Greatest Generation passed away in the arms of his family Tuesday, June 12, 2007. Funeral services with full military honors were Friday, June 15, 2007 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024 with Chaplin Nick Greenwalt, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Abel Funeral Chapel, 1627 North 51st Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85035 on Thursday evening, June 14, 2007. A native of Washington County, OH and a recent resident of Paradise Valley since 2007, when he moved here from Syosset, NY, Alex was a retired accountant in the computer section of Geico Insurance Co; a Lutheran and a US Army officer and veteran of World War II and Korean War. Alex attended and graduated from Lincoln High School and attended Pace University and was a very avid sailor. He is survived by his wife, Lois of Paradise Valley, AZ; a daughter, Lynne Fiore and her husband, Frank of Paradise Valley, AZ and a grandson, Christopher J. "CJ" Fiore of Paradise Valley, AZ.
