WEBB, James LaMar


James LaMar Webb of Sun City West, AZ passed away on June 13, 2007 following a six-month battle with cancer during which he never lost hope or courage. Jim was born on March 21, 1928 in Angola, IN. After graduating from Tri State University, he began his career with the Federal Aviation Administration. After two years, he left the FAA to join the U.S. Army and served two years in the Korean War as Master Sgt. Before returning to the FAA where he worked in management until his retirement in 1983. During retirement, Jim loved playing golf and traveling in the U.S. He especially loved living in Arizona, quickly making many friends and enjoying his life here. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Joan "Jo" Webb, his devoted mother, R. Ethelwyn McElroy, three stepsons, Gary Hjulberg of Los Angeles, CA., Paul Hjulberg (and his wife Lisa) of Riverside, CA and Alan Hjulberg of Osakis, MN and four grandsons Ian, Collin, Clayton and Avery Hjulberg. Jim was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and will be dearly missed by all. A celebration of his life is pending.
