Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona THOMAS JEFFERSON STEWART JR (March 2, 1940 - April 17, 2012) Thomas J. Stewart, 72, of Overgaard AZ, Died Tuesday, April 17th at home from pancreatic/liver cancer having finished the last of life's battles and is in heaven's rest that comes to those who have fought a good fight and finished their cause. Born in Coal Fork, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Beulah Stewart. On December 23, 1962 he was united in marriage to Dottie Smith and to this union was born two sons. They are: Daniel Stewart and Cliff Stewart both of Fredericksburg, Virginia. Besides Dottie and the two sons he is survived by two grandsons, Matthew and Benjamin, one granddaughter, Jessica, three brothers, Charles Stewart of Mesa, AZ, Fred Stewart of Mt. Dora, Florida, Mike Stewart of Payson, AZ, and one sister, Janet Plum of Ferndale, Washington. Tom was not only a good husband and father, but he was ever ready and willing to lend a helping hand to a neighbor or friend in time of need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. A memorial service is planned at a later date.
