Darrell W. Fosberg, 73, passed away due to cancer on April 16th, 2012. Darrell was born on May 10th, 1938 in Farmington, New Mexico to Hattie and Bert Fosberg.
Darrell was raised in Durango, Colorado with two older brothers (Kenny & Calvin) and one older sister & one younger sister (Harriet & Audrey). He attended Adams State College graduating with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1962.
Darrell met his ex-wife, Donna K. Fosberg, at Adams State College of Colorado where they had a lot of fun together, were nominated as Winter Formal King and Queen, got married in 1962, raised two daughters, and were married for 32 years. They had many adventures and lived in Idaho, Tucson, Scottsdale, and finally Flagstaff, Arizona. They moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in 1968 while Darrell worked for the Standard Oil Company as a marketing representative.
In 1971 to 1973 he owned the Der Wienerschnitzel and then had a clothing store called Darrell’s Men’s Wear from 1973 to 1982. He then worked for Jim Babbitt Ford and after a year there he worked in Accounts Payable at Northern Arizona University from 1983 to 1992. In 1993, Darrell sold real estate in Flagstaff, AZ. He was very involved with his daughters’ school activities at Weitzel Elementary School, East Flagstaff Junior High School, and Coconino High School.
Darrell played a fundamental role in fundraising for the Coconino High School’s athletics from 1989 to 1993 and received the CHS Parent Award in 1993. He was an active member of Trinity Heights United Methodist Church for 18 years where both his daughters were baptized.
Darrell enjoyed the outdoors, golf, watching just about any sport, and telling jokes. Most importantly Darrell loved the Lord first and foremost and his three girls (Julie, Kelly, and Ashley) dearly.
Darrell is survived by his daughters, Ms. Julie Paschal (owner of Alpine Academy Preschool) and Dr. Kelly Fosberg (orthopedic physical therapist); granddaughter, Ashley Paschal (8th grade); brother Kenny, sister Harriet, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service TBA.

The Celebration of Life Service hosted by the Fosberg Family (Julie, Kelly, Ashley, and Donna) will be held at Trinity Heights United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, April 29th, 2012 at 2 p.m.
The service will be officiated by Pastor Karol.
