Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Friday, April 20, 2012 Johnny Chavez, Jr. 47, of Flagstaff, died on Monday April16, 2012. Johnny was born on March 2, 1965 in Phoenix, AZ to John and Cora (Naranjo) Chavez. He was a 40 year resident of Flagstaff, where he graduated from Coconino High School and he was currently attending College America and he was proud of his “A” grade status. He would have graduated from College America at the end of this semester. Johnny is survived by his wife; Kristine L. Chavez, daughter; Amanda Paige Chavez, Son; Johnny Chavez III, parents; John and Cora Chavez all of Flagstaff and brother, Robert Chavez of Prescott Valley. A holy rosary will be recited on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 10:00 am followed by funeral mass at 11:00 am both at St. Pius X Chapel, 2257 E. Cedar Ave. A celebration of Johnny’s life will continue at the Lamb of God Bible Church, 2615 E. 7th Ave. at 5:00 pm with a musical and dessert reception, hosted by his children, Johnny “Scooter” and Amanda Paige.
