The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 04/20/2012 Linda Tessay, 59, of Phoenix, died peacefully April 11, 2012, at Hospice of Arizona surrounded by family and friends. She spent a number of years working for the Arizona Department of Revenue and other state departments holding various positions. Linda was a woman who loved the small and simple things in life, but the impact and impressions she leaves in those that knew her will last lifetimes. She grew up in the small town of Cibecue before living in other states like Idaho, Kansas, Montana, and California, where she would leave great memories and cherished moments to all in her life. She is with our Lord in heaven now, and is also reunited with her older brother Calvert, Jr. (Baby), and other loved ones that have passed on. Linda is survived by her father, Calvert Sr.; mother, Darlene; sons: Christopher and Nicholas; brothers: Glendale and Aaron, sisters: Karen T. Way, Henrietta, Colleen Tessay, and Norma Jean (Chris) Quintero; beloved grandson Nicholas (baby Nick); two grand nephews, that were under her custody; Tristan and Trevor Tessay, along with a host of extended family and friends. “A remarkable loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and so much more, the world is a better place for having had you in it. You will be greatly missed, but we all know in our hearts you’re in a better place. You are with us always, thank you for every moment.” A memorial service will be held in her honor at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at South Mountain Mortuary, 7007 South Central Ave. in Phoenix. Family and friends are encouraged to attend to pay their respects to a beautiful woman.
