HURD, JR., Emory Mills

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Friday, April 20, 2012 Emory M. Hurd Jr., 69, died April 16, 2012, at his home in Buckeye from an extended illness. Mr. Hurd was born Jan. 23, 1943, in Stockton, Calif., to Emory Sr. and Lois. He moved to Arizona in 1995. He served in the Army and was retired from a job as a corrections officer. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; one daughter, Karen; two sons, Mark Vaughan and Emory III; his mother, Lois; one sister, Mara; and five grandchildren. Funeral services are pending. Arrangements were made by Ganley's Buckeye Funeral Home. ~~~~~~~~ Correction: Emory served in the US AIR FORCE and not the Army per his son Emory Hurd III.
