West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Friday, April 20, 2012 Mary Vanosdell, 71, of Glendale and formerly of Arlington died April 5, 2012, in Avondale. Mrs. Vanosdell was born Jan. 19, 1941, in Millersville, Texas, to Ignacio and Angelita Luera. She moved to Arizona in 1965. She was retired but volunteered at Tolleson First Assembly of God Food Bank and Sword of the Spirit Food Bank. She was also a member of the Tolleson First Assembly of God. She is survived by three daughters, Elvira Karjala of Buckeye, Susie Moore of Buckeye and Wanda of Glendale; one son, Thomas of Arlington; one brother, Angel Luera of Avondale; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held April 9 at Buckeye First Assembly Of God. The Rev. Charles W. Clark officiated. She is survived by three daughters, Elvira Karjala of Buckeye, Susie Moore of Buckeye and Wanda of Glendale; one son, Thomas of Arlington; one brother, Angel Luera of Avondale; six sisters, Catarina Alvarado of Tulare, Calif., Juanita Silva of Avondale, Irene Gomez of Avondale, Petra Baltazar of Lamesa, Texas, Carmen Gutierrez of Phoenix and Virginia Ortega of Glendale; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held April 9 at Buckeye First Assembly Of God. The Rev. Charles W. Clark officiated. Funeral arrangements were made by Ganley's Buckeye Funeral Home.
