The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Saturday, April 21, 2012 Veneda Waldron was loved by everyone. She was born on November 11, 1924 and went to heaven on April 18, 2012. She was the youngest of 14 children. Seven brothers and six sisters. The daughter of Letcher Esco Spade and Vernie Lee Sanner Spade. Born and raised in Meadow Bridge, West Virginia. She moved to Arizona in 1950, met and married her husband in 1952. She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband (Frank Waldron) and her son (Lloyd Alfred Waldron) She is survived by a daughter Carolyn Lois Kafader, 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 2 great great grand children. Veneda was a professional seamstress. Designed and sewed many fashions for family and friends. Sewing for her granddaughter and great granddaughter was her greatest joy. She was also an avid gardener and canning expert. The family would always look forward to home canned tomatoes, green tomatoes, and strawberry jam. She also made excellent beet jelly her grandson loved to brag about and pass around to impress his friends. She was active in her community and the The Rimrockers; a working club to support veterans and other outreach programs. She sincerely loved the lord and will be welcomed into his heavenly arms. She will be ever so missed by all of those who loved and knew her. Come home “Little Miss Shovel”, or “Skeeter” we are waiting on you!!!!!!!!!!!! Services will be held on Wednesday April 25, 2012. Visitation will be one hour before at 12:00 P.M. at the Greenwood-Memory Lawn Mausoleum Chapel 719 N. 27th Ave. Phoenix, AZ with graveside services at 1:00P.M. at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Sedona Humane Society, 2115 Shelby Dr, Sedona, AZ 86336, in memory of Veneda Waldron for Ruffy and Nuscience her beloved cats.
