Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Saturday, April 21, 2012 - George William Lawrence passed away April 17, in Lake Havasu City. He was born on March 3, 1946, in Huffman, Ark. George lived in Lake Havasu City for more than 37 years where he perfected the art of drywall; he really enjoyed fishing and being at the Lake. George was a generous fun-loving man who knew no stranger. He was a loving father, caring brother, and compassionate friend. George was loved by many and will be missed. George is survived by his three children, Cindy (Rosario) Medina, Kirk W. Lawrence and Carol (Ray) Darrow; and two grandsons, Chris Tizard and Ray Darrow Jr.; mother, Lorene Wright and stepfather, Marvin Wright; six brothers and sisters, Glenda Batchelor, Linda Grant Kirk, Jesse Wayne Lawrence, Steven Glen Lawrence, Rickie Dale Wright and Leamon Andrew Wright. George was preceded in death by William Howard Lawrence, father; and Charles Wilburn Lawrence, brother. No services are planned at this time.
