BOICOURT, Willa Ruth

Willa Ruth Wright Boicourt, a former Mesa resident, passed away May 18, 2007 at the age of 87 at Seaton Hospital in Austin, TX. She was born December 30, 1919 in Decatur County, IN; graduating from Lett's High School in 1938. Willa is the daughter of Arthur and Nelly Mae Harrell-Wright. She was a decoder during WW II in the U.S. Navy as a Wave Spec. 3rd Class. Willa married Ace M. Boicourt May 10, 1947. She is survived by two sons: Michael Boicourt of Louisiana and Stephen Patrick Boicourt of Texas; 2 sisters: Sara Picker and Carol Applegate and brother, Robert Wright. Services will be held graveside Monday, June 11, 2007 in Greensburg, IN. Published in the East Valley Tribune on 6/10/2007.
