Norvel Owens Mortuary, Show Low, Arizona Gesima Rios (February 8, 1925 ~ April 25, 2012) Gesima Rios 87, passed away April 25, 2012 peacefully surrounded by family and friends. She was a Flagstaff resident since 1992. Gesima was born in Panama City, Panama Feb 8, 1925. A loving daughter, mother and grandmother. Gesima is survived by her 9 children, Robert (Florida), Regina and Ramon (Texas), Walter (Washington) Edward (Colorado), Esmeralda (Panama) Doris, Esther and Damaris (Flagstaff), 22 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. Gesima enjoyed spending time with all her friends, going to church, cooking, reading, and writing letters. Gesima truly lived and loved life to the fullest. Gesima will always be remembered by her giving and thoughtfulness to her family and friends. Our family would like to give thanks to all the caregivers and employees of Emeritus Assisted Living Communities for all the care provided to our mom during her stay. A special thanks to Dr. Singh Harnath and the Dialysis Center for all the care given to our mom for the last 7 years. Services will be held Saturday April 28, 2012 at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Church. Rosary at 9:30 am and Mass at 10:00 am, followed by a reception.
