PINK, Patrick Eugene


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Friday, April 27, 2012 - Patrick Eugene Pink, 85, passed away April 24, 2012 in Lake Havasu City. He was born March 17, 1927, in Highland, Wis., to Frank and Mildred (Dolan) Pink. Pat, as he was known to his family and friends, served in the U.S. Army during World War II for two years before being honorably discharged. He married his beloved wife, Annette, in Marshfield, Wis., June 25, 1955. He was a snowbird here in Lake Havasu for 23 years and lived in Highland, Wis., for 25 years. Pat raised his family in New Berlin, Wis., for 22 years. Pat loved the Arizona desert and was an active hiker with the Havasu Hikers, hiking every week. Pat knew this area in the southwest very well. He loved to go on camping trips and explore with his Jeep. He was a life member of the VFW and volunteered at the Eagles club and the Moose Lodge. Pat truly tried and experienced everything there was to experience in his life. He “lived” and “loved” his life and especially loved traveling the world with his wife, Annette, aka “TAG.” He was so proud of his daughter, Sue, aka “Babe,” for all of her accomplishments and he was a great father and the best father-in-law any man could ask for. He will be missed so much. Pat is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Annette M. (Fisher) Pink; daughter, Susan (Mark) Schroeder; grandchildren, Rachel (Chandler) Tindall, Danielle Otto and Michael Rabinek; two great-grandchildren, Jaiden and Jaxson Tindall. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Pink; and his parents. Funeral service will be in his hometown of Highland, Wis.
