Mary C. Winkler, a former resident of Kingman for 33 years, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, in Kinsley, Kan. She was born Nov. 21, 1919, to William Robert Wisser and Emma Sophia (Ehrhardt) Wisser in McKeesport, Pa. She was 92.
She is predeceased by her parents, three brothers and four sisters, and her husband the Rev. Joel F. Winkler. She is survived by her children, Joel Mark and wife Marilyn of Albuquerque, N.M., Nancy C. Kirkwood and her husband the Rev. A. P. "Butch" of Garfield, Kan., the Rev. William Roy "Bill" and his wife Kim of Truth or Consequences, N.M., and Darlene Rose Armstrong and husband Eric of Lakewood, Calif. She also has six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mary was employed in the treasurer's office of the Mohave County Court House for 20 years. She was a member of Kingman Missionary Church and treasurer there for many years among other positions.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at the Connection Point Alliance Church, 4435 North Shadow Road. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
