The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona March 2012 Aper, Gail Norton 73, of Glendale, AZ passed away on March 15, 2012. Gail was born in Summitt, N.J. on March 18, 1938. She moved to Northern California in 1963 and to Phoenix in 1994. Gail was a member of the Moose Chapter 1642, American Legion Auxiliary 107, and Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Assn. She was very active with the LAFRA for a number of years and served as the West Coast Regional President in 1991-1992. Gail was preceded in death by her huband, Donald Aper, Sr. She is survived by her cousins John Sully (N.J.), Malcom Graham (FL), and Diane Cox (CA). Shis is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Robert and Carolyn Arvin (TX) and stepdaughters Lynn Sackman (Conn.), Dorothy Aper (CA), and one stepson Donald Aper, Jr., and granddaughter Diana Gail Sackman (Conn.). A private graveside service will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix on April 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Best Funeral Services, Inc.
