FAST, Joan Adair

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, April 27, 2012 Joan Adair Fast (née Deneen) was born Oct. 12, 1932, in Minneapolis, Minn. She died April 21, 2012, in Green Valley, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her father David, mother Ethel and husband Lowell (Dusty) Fast. Joan graduated from Washburn High School in Minneapolis and earned her BFA and master's degree from the University of Minnesota. She was an art teacher, first in Chaska, Minn., and then until she retired, at Richfield Junior High in Minnesota. Dusty and Joan were married in 1957 and made their home in Burnsville, Minn. They purchased land in Prescott, making Arizona their winter home. A second home was built in Green Valley. Joan is survived by a brother, Jim and his wife Ginny; niece Susan Fullerton (Richard); nephews Joe Deneen (Suzie) and Mike Deneen (Caren), John and Jacob. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Evangelical Free Church of Green Valley, 1393 W. Mission Twin Buttes Road, Green Valley, Ariz. Private interment will be in Prescott, Ariz.
