He was the son of the late John and Bertie Cross of Coshocton, Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Cross of Chandler, 2 granddaughters and 1 great granddaughter of Phoenix, and 2 sisters in Ohio. He is preceded in death by his son Thomas of Phoenix and 2 brothers in Ohio. John served in the Navy and fought in World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
