Marjorie Maxine Van Wie, age 83, a 35-year resident of Bullhead City, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012, at her home in Bullhead City, Ariz., attended by her family and under the excellent care of New Hope Hospice.
Marjorie was born September 16, 1928, in Sherrodsville, Ohio, to Charles Albert Evans and Anna Elizabeth Smalley Evans.
Prior to living in Bullhead City, she lived in Fontana, Calif. for years after having moved there from Canton, Ohio.
Marjorie worked in numerous manufacturing and service jobs including house keeping at the Pioneer Casino, until she suffered a stroke 30 years ago.
She was a lifetime member of the Elks and Women of the Moose.
Marjorie, was preceded in death by her three husbands, Charles E. Dunfee, Ronald Lee Clark, and Verl Van Wie.
She is survived by one brother, Frank Duda of Warsau, Ohio; and two of four children, Linda Barnhart of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Jim Clark of Bullhead City, Ariz.; two step-daughters, Verldene Hie of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Debra Sanchez of Salem Ore.; nine grandchildren, Douglas, Cindy, Tammy, Tommy, Tisha, Kari, Aaron, Michelle and Laura Jean; as well as eight great- grandchildren.
No services are scheduled.
Internment will be at the Green Acres Cemetery in Bloomington, California.
