The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 05/01/2012 Anthony Michael Duran, 51, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012, peacefully at home in St. Johns. He was born Sept. 29, 1960, the son of Charles Carlos and Angie Marie Baca Duran. Mike lived a life with so much love and compassion in his heart that it left a lasting impression on everyone in his life. His heart was filled with a light that would brighten any soul he touched. He is survived by his sons, Jerry (Buffy) Duran of Eagar; Andy (McKenna) McKinnon of Queen Creek; Charlie Duran of St. Johns; daughters: Kayleen (Daniel) Clanton of Provo, Utah; Deanna (James) Thomas; Amanda Duran; Marlaina Duran all of St. Johns; brothers: Ruben Duran, Lewis Duran, Kenneth Duran, Jerry Duran, Richard Duran, Paul Duran, Peter Duran; and 14 grandchildren. Mike was preceded in death by his grandma Connie Baca, and his parents. He left this earth knowing his family would carry the torch of his life in their hearts. Mike was loved by many and will be forgotten by none. A rosary and funeral mass were held at the San Rafael Catholic Church in Concho, where he was brought up in the Catholic faith.
