STRADER, Robert Eugene


Indianapolis (IN) Star Thursday, April 5, 2012 Robert Eugene Strader, 92, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at home on April 3, 2012. He was born in Germantown, Ohio, May 29, 1919 to the late John and Emma Strader. He proudly served in the Army during WWII in Italy and North Africa. He worked for Roadway Express until 1981 when he retired. He was a member and past Master of Broad Ripple Lodge #643, Broad Ripple/Millersville O.E.S. #300 where he served as worhty patron at Broad Ripple several times, and a lifetime member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis. Robert is survived by his wife, Jocelyn; daughters, Pat Foster, Hermitage, TN, Barbara Lanowette, Indianapolis; son, John Strader (Joan), Wickenburg, AZ; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four nephews and four nieces. Visitation will be on Friday, April 6th from 2 to 8pm in Crown Hill Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel. Funeral service: Monday, March 26th at 1:00pm in Crown Hill Funeral Home, Remembrance Hall. O.E.S. service will be at 7pm and Masonic service at 7:30pm on Friday, April 6th. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Indianapolis.
