FORBES, John

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona July 2011 John Forbes 85, of Chandler, AZ passed away on July 6, 2011. John was born July 7, 1926 to Thomas and Helen Forbes in Montreal, Canada. He was raised in Brooklyn, New York and proudly served his Country in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. John married Barbara Conlon in 1956. They had 4 children and moved from Central Islip NY to Mesa, AZ in 1967. They bought a one bedroom house in East Mesa where John personally built onto the house to make it a comfortable home for his family. After retirement, John and Barbara moved to Pinetop, AZ where they lived until recently moving back to the valley. John is survived by his wife, Barbara, his children Scott (Diane), Laura, Roger, and Peter (Julie) of California, grandchildren Jennifer, Jake, and Kyle and his brother James (Ruby) of Colorado.
