The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, May 16, 2004 Russell (Russ) Dale Moore, born in Ohio, April 4, 1938, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2004, after a short illness with cancer. Russ contributed to this world to make it a better place. He was a thoughtful and loving man known to many as a husband, father, grandfather, friend, and sports official. He is survived by his wife, Rita Moore; children, Lori Johnston (Ken), Patrick Moore (Debra) of Illinois, David Burrell (Jana), Brandon Burrell (Karen); grandchildren, Ryan and Christopher Johnston, James, Shawn and Katelynn Moore, Larisa and Michael Burrell. In Ohio, sister, Becky Harmon, uncle, Chet Mehl, stepmom, Dixie Moore, and stepdad Ted Kleim. A Celebration of Russ Moore's Life will be held at the Elk's Opera House, 117 East Gurley Street, in Prescott, on May 22 at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to your local high school athletic department or to the American Cancer Society.
