JACOBS, Craig Alan

Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on May 4, 2012 - Craig Jacobs was called away too soon, but God felt his son should come home. He was born Dec. 9, 1961. He was a beloved husband, father and son, a hero for some and a role model to others. He passed peacefully at home in his sleep Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Craig served in the U.S. Army on the DMZ border of Korea. He drove trucks for many years, and was with Bill Wright Trucking at the time of his passing. He was an avid motorcyclist and a member of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.). His favorite pastime and passion was horses. He and his wife rescued horses and brought them to Second Chance Ranch. He spent whatever free time he had saving animals and surrounding himself with his family. For those who knew him, he was full of life and his death was unexpected and a shock to all. His quick wit and sense of humor will sadly be missed. He is survived by his wife, Melody; four beautiful children, Jennifer Jacobs Judge, Jarod Farnsworth, both of California, and Allen and Pierrette Jacobs of Kingman; and one grandson, Christopher. He is also survived by his parents, Jim and Jeannie Jacobs of Kingman; his brothers, Ken Jacobs of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Keith Jacobs of Kingman; his aunt, Maxine (Keith) Fricke and uncle, Dave (Fran) DePuy, both of Kingman; and his uncle, Bob (Ruth) Jacobs of Chittenango, N.Y. He also left many nieces, nephews, a grandniece and a grandnephew, cousins, great aunts and great uncles in the East, and countless friends. Craig, you will always be our hero. We love and miss you! His celebration of life will be determined at a later time. In lieu of flowers, his family would appreciate donations be made at Golden Valley's Hay and Feed, 5481 W. Highway 68, or Wild Oats Feed, 2600 Northern Ave., Kingman, for Second Chance Ranch, where they rescue and feed horses.
