ALLISON, William (Barry) Cruse

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, May 04, 2012 William "Barry" Cruse Allison, 84, departed on May 1, 2012, in Culver City, Calif. He was a longtime resident of Prescott Valley, Ariz. Barry was born on March 28, 1928, in Wallasey, Cheshire, England, to William George and Christiana Anita Allison. Barry married Sheila Tucker on Jan. 20, 1951. He served with honor for the British Army and the Canadian Voluntary Police Force. He experienced great joy serving his community for 10 years with Neighbor to Neighbor and eight years with American Cancer Society. Barry was an avid fisherman who loved being on the water, loved travel and lived in Canada and New Zealand. He enjoyed exotic food and was never afraid to try something new. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Pat Guthrie. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Allison; children Mark Allison and wife Leslie Allison, Lesley Silva and husband Steve Silva, Debra DeRosa and husband Guy DeRosa; grandchildren Joseph Morris and wife April Morris, Michelle Morris, Amanda Allison, Kristin DeRosa, Keith Silva, Ian Allison, Amber DeRosa, Paul Allison and Jenna DeRosa; and great-grandchildren Michael Morris, Joel Morris, Kyle Morris and Allison Morris. He will be deeply missed by his wife, family and friends. Private services for family will be in Los Angeles. Information provided by survivors.
