GLECKLER, Lanny D.

Published in Toledo Blade on December 8, 2010 Lanny D. Gleckler, formerly of Metamora, Ohio, passed into eternal peace on November 30, 2010, in Gilbert, Arizona. He was born on May 27, 1935, in Metamora, Ohio, to Merlin and Margaret Gleckler. Lanny is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carol; step children, Michael (Ann) Pilliod and Michele (Eric) Martin and five grandchildren, Amber, Brittany and Jamie Pilliod, E.J. and Winston Martin. Lanny is also survived by five brothers, Jayson (Rose), John (Marianne), Brace, Richard (Linda), George (Debbie), and six sisters, Lelah Kuras, Ila (Bob) Hope, Sharon (Mark) Smith, Janice (Butch) Harder, Karen (Mark) Nye, Martha Gleckler. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Bill, Benny, Merlin Jr., and Perry (Tom). At Lanny's request no funeral services will be conducted. The family asks that memorable contributions be made, in lieu of flowers, to Banner Baywood Heart Hospital at 6750 E. Baywood Ave., Mesa, Arizona 85206, (Attn: Administration).
