HENDRICKSON, William C. (Bill)


The Yuma Sun, Yuma, Arizona March 31, 2011 William C. "Bill" Hendrickson a 1937 YUHS graduate, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the V.A Hospital in Prescott, AZ. He was born on March 3, 1920 in Healdton, Oklahoma. Bill came to Yuma in 1924 with his family to homestead on Araby Road. He served for the U.S. Army Air force and was a World War II veteran, a B17 pilot, received the Distinguished Flying Cross and spent a year in a German Prison Camp. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, J.W. Sr. and Kittie Coker Hendrickson; sister, Virginia Lawler; brother, Ray Hendrickson, J.W. Hendrickson Jr. Bill is survived by his wife, Ruth of Prescott, sisters, Mary McDaniel of Tijeras, New Mexico, Kathryn Erwin of Yuma; son, Benjamin Hendrickson of Saint George, Utah; daughters, Kathryn Prince, Allyson Hendrickson, Kristie Hendrickson and two grand daughters, Cory and Kristin, Services will be held April 15, 2011 in Prescott, Arizona at the V.A.
