HILL, Nazaly Dershian


The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona January 13, 2011 Hill, Nazaly Dershian aged 76 passed away in the morning of January 11, 2011 after a long battle with breast cancer. She was a native of Massena, New York. She was very proud of her Armenian ancestry. She and her husband moved to Arizona in 1960. Mrs. Hill taught second grade in the Alhambra Elementary School District for thirty years, retiring in 1990. Nazaly had very productive hobbies in knitting and crocheting and produced many beautiful items as gifts and for keeing. One of her fun things to do was to go "garage sale-ing" every Saturday morning. She set a very positive example of what it was to be a wife, mother and grandmother. She and her husband shared 17 years of joy in their summer home in Munds Park, Arizona. She is survived by her husband, Gordon, son John, daughter-in-law Star and two grandchildren, Zeke and Anaheed. Three sisters also survive her; Thelma of Canton, New York, Rose of Grand Island, New York, and Mary of Colton, California. There is a new star in the heavens tonight for one of the best has gone home to be with her Savior. Memorial service will be held at All Saints' Episcopal Church 6300 N. Central. Ave on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 11:00 am.
