WEBSTER, Joyce Marie

(Maiden Name: Sullivan)

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Tuesday, May 8, 2012 - Joyce Marie Webster passed away at her home April 30, 2012 at the age of 85. Joyce was born Nov. 19, 1926, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Charles Patrick and Amelia Louise (Hines) Sullivan. Joyce and her husband, John, moved to Lake Havasu City 22 years ago. Joyce’s first love was Jesus Christ. She attended St. Thomas Catholic School in Los Angeles. Her greatest pride and joy was her family. She involved herself with many of their activities including Boy Scouts, Brownies and Camp Fire Girls. She always made time for her children, had a great personality and we still laugh at some of the stunts she pulled. She was a funny lady and loved by all. She was involved with a program called "Religious Release Time." This program gave her the opportunity to go into the public grammar schools and teach children about Jesus. Joyce also loved to entertain, that was her special gift and she loved to travel. One of her most favorite trips was a cruise on the USS Nordam to San Francisco from Mexico City. She also loved sewing and gardening. Joyce had many friends and as the years went by, they would continue to visit. Joyce was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and recently became a great great-grandmother. Oh, how we will all miss her. She was the most unselfish person we ever knew. She knew what it was to help people in need. She was a wonderful mother, never putting herself first. Joyce is survived by her son, John M Webster III and wife, Linda, of San Pedro, Calif.; daughters, Kathleen Webster Walsh, of Lake Havasu City, and Patricia Renaldi and husband, Joe, of Highland Ranch, Colo.; six grandchildren, Sean, Bridget, Julie, John, Danny, Matthew. She had nine great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years John, (or Jack, as everyone called him) who passed away Feb. 28. Rosary will be said for Joyce Friday at 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. Memorial Mass will follow beginning at 11 a.m. Thoughts and condolences can be sent to Joyce’s family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
