West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Friday, May 11, 2012 William Anderson, 81, of Surprise and formerly OF Tolleson, died May 6, 2012, at Hospice of the Valley in Peoria. Mr. Anderson was born May 1, 1931, in Elk City, Okla., to Toby and Verlin. He served four years in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred "Mickey" Johnson. He is survived by one stepson, Randy Parker; one stepdaughter, Jo Wright; one brother, James; five sisters, Imagene Kitrell, Carol Houx, Virginia Medina, Linda Moseley and Sinda Fischer; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial and celebration of life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at First Southern Baptist Church, 1001 N. Central Ave. in Avondale. The Rev. Christopher Wright will officiate.
