Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Sunday, May 13, 2012 - Irene J. Yatckoske passed away May 8, 2012 in Wheat Ridge, Colo., at the age of 91. Irene was born Feb. 28, 1921, in Little Falls, Minn. to Jess and Hilda (Hanson) Blaisdell. Irene and her husband, Frank, moved to Lake Havasu City in June 1983. They previously lived in Denver where Irene worked as an accountant for the Stapleton International Airport. Irene also was the head accountant for the city and county of Denver. Irene moved back to the Denver area eight years ago to be closer to her family. While in Lake Havasu City, Irene and Frank were members of Mount Olive Lutheran Church. Irene is survived by her four daughters, Mary Graham (Marvin), of Portland, Ore., Louise Butler (Tom), of Edinburg, Texas, Carol Pote (Dave), of Alamosa, Colo., and Elaine Lombardi (Louie), of Arvada, Colo.; as well as eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Frank G. Yatckoske, who passed away in 1990. Visitation will be Tuesday at Lietz-Fraze Chapel from 9-10 a.m., with funeral services beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Matt March will offer words of comfort.
