The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, May 16, 2012 Betty Wheeler O’Dell, born Sept. 26, 1924 in Laurens, S.C., passed away Sunday, May 13, while in the wonderful care of the Hospice of the Valley Center in Peoria, Ariz. Betty is survived by her husband Cecil David O’Dell of Hohenwald, Tenn., and Peoria; daughter (Betty) Jean Hunt of Wickenburg, Ariz.; sons James E. Wolfe, Jr. (location unknown) and David Sean O’Dell of Surprise, Ariz.; granddaughter Krysta Breanne Bell of Surprise, Ariz.; and grandsons Nicholas Anthony Bell of Seattle, Wash., and Paul Justin Black of Placencia, Calif. She was preceded in death by her daughter Denise Wolfe Black of Encinitas, Calif. Betty spent the last few years residing in Hohenwald, Tenn., and Peoria, Ariz. She was an active member of the Piney Creek Baptist Church in Hohenwald. At Betty’s request, family will hold a private family memorial service. In lieu of flowers and cards, the family requests donations are made to Hospice of the Valley, Sun City, Arizona.
