SALERNO, SR., Robert Arthur

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Wednesday, May 16, 2012 - Robert “Bob” or “Poppy” Salerno, 79, of Lake Havasu City, passed away May 12, 2012 after a long and courageous fight against heart disease. He was surrounded by his beloved wife, Patricia; his children and grandchildren, who loved him just as much as he loved them. Bob retired from Mohave Community College; he loved to play golf and enjoyed spending time with his family. He has five children, 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Bob and Patricia met in New York and married after just six short months, more than 52 years ago. They took a chance almost 40 years ago, sold everything and moved their family to Arizona. Bob was such a loving and grateful man and extremely proud of his children – Steve Salerno and his wife, Judy, of Lake Havasu City, Linda Salerno Rohn and her husband, William, of Lake Havasu City, Bob Salerno Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Las Vegas, Nev., Lenore Salerno Kettenhoven and former husband, Robert Kettenhoven, of Gilbert, Ariz. and Big Bend, Wis. (respectively), and Dina Salerno Harvey and her husband, Douglas, of Gilbert, Ariz. The Salerno family would like to thank their many friends and extended family for their loving support during this very sad time as they reflect on the life of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and dear friend.
