Peggy Bernice Tegeler, 84, of Phoenix, AZ born June 6, 1927 in Davenport IA., passed away unexpectedly on June 12, 2011 in Flagstaff, AZ. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and known as an angel to many.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 54 yrs Duane (Teg), infant son Michael, sisters Inez Baker and Mollie Brown.
Peggy is survived by brother Willard Brown of Freeport IL, sons Charlie (Teri), Rick, & Randy (Cindy), 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews.
Having moved from Freeport IL in 1954 she was employed and retired from Motorola Semiconductor. Peggy volunteered countless time with St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Mormon Lake Fire Auxiliary.
She enjoyed spending time with her many, many friends and family in the valley and at her cabin in Mormon Lake, AZ., she also enjoyed reading, playing cards, a good D-Backs or Suns game and an occasional trip to a casino. She will be missed by all of those who were blessed to have had the opportunity to experience her sweet, kind, generous and loving nature. May God bless her as she journeys into the Lord's Paradise.
As a founding member and devoted parishioner, a Memorial Mass will be held at St. Jeromes Catholic Parish, 10815 N. 35th Ave. Phoenix at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2011.
A reception to follow in church hall. In lieu of flowers donations in her honor can be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society of Arizona.
