Jerry Lee Bridgman, 71, died May 9, 2012. He was born Nov. 1, 1940, in Phoenix.
Jerry graduated from Buckeye High School in 1959. Buckeye High School retired the town football star’s jersey #44 before going to play at ASU for Frank Kush in 1960. He received his B.S. in history from ASU in 1963 and his M.S. in counseling from Arkansas State University in 1966.
Jerry split his career as a sales representative for 20 years and an educator for 21 years. He enjoyed his years as a counselor at Alhambra and Central high schools helping students and staff.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joann; daughters: Kim Starkey, Melissa Larson; son Brian Bridgman; and step-son Donnie Henson. Also, he is survived by his brother, Elbert Bridgman Jr.; nephew Phil Bridgman; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
