OUTZEN, Theorda D.

Theorda D. Outzen, age 95, passed away on April 26, in the Sierra Winds care center. She was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Theodore and Alma Lemke. Older brothers, Owen and Tony, and younger sisters Hollyce Dunn and Betty Mosel preceded her in death. She is survived by her youngest sister, Marilyn Loechler of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. She married Harold Outzen in 1941 when both were working for the F.W. Woolworth Company in Eau Claire. They moved frequently and had homes in Minnesota, South Dakota, Iowa and New Jersey. Karen Wernimont, Bruce, John and DeeAnn Hart (Ronnie) are her four children. She also has ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. A granddaughter, Jaime Outzen, preceded her in death. She moved to Sun City with her husband in 1980 after his retirement. She was active in her church participating in the Monday Sewing Group and working on the Fellowship Committee. She was an avid walker and loved to cook, both for her family and others. Her dinner parties were frequent and a highly sought invitation.
