NEWTON, Opal (Faye)


Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on May 20, 2012 - Opal "Faye" Newton, a Kingman resident since the late '80s, passed away quietly Thursday, May 3, 2012. She was born June 21, 1928, in Albion, Ill. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Kelly, on Nov. 11, 2010. Donna was also a Kingman resident. Faye leaves behind Roy Newton of Kingman; daughter, Elizabeth and husband Jim Martin of Canadian, Texas; two sisters, Pat Hensley and families of Grayville, Ill., and Brenda Bell and families of Bone Gap, Ill.; granddaughters, Leah McDougall and family of Miami, Texas, and Tara Billone and family of Higgins, Texas; grandsons, Jimmy Kelly and family of Canadian and Timmy Kelly and family of Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri; and nephew, David Hensley of Kingman. Faye's testament was to be cremated and left with daughter Elizabeth, to be placed upon her "Virgil's and Aunt Mary's graves" at Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville, Ill. The family wishes to express deepest thanks to all those who cared for her and tended her needs at the Lingenfelter Center. God bless you all. She was a special part of our family. She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by family and friends. She walks beside Jesus.
