Joe Eligio Amabisca, 65, of Buckeye died May 14, 2012, at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Phoenix.
Mr. Amabisca was born Oct. 25, 1946, to Manuel and Nellie.
He attended schools in Buckeye and later Northern Arizona University and Arizona Western College.
He joined the Army and served as a Green Beret in Vietnam. When he returned home, he worked with his parents in the family business, La Placita Restaurant in Buckeye.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; one daughter, Lisa Adragna; two sons, Brian McAchron and Aaron McAchron; three sisters, Irene Garcia, Pauline Salas and Anna; one brother, John; and nine grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ganley's Buckeye Funeral Home, 104 E. Baseline Road in Buckeye.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Amabisca home, 302 N. Central Blvd. in Buckeye.
