MAXON, Louema (Lou) B.

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona July 2006 Louema (Lou) B. Maxon, 74, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 18, 2006 of ovarian cancer. She was born January 7, 1932 in Scott County, Arkansas. She leaves Don, her husband of 55 years; three married children, Susan Maxon, Stephanie Jones and Richard Maxon; seven grandchildren and her brother Charles Bogart. She was a member of Red Mountain United Methodist Church. Lou retired as a media specialist for Owasso, Oklahoma, Public Schools after a 14 year career. She was a devoted wife and mother, active in church and volunteered in the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. Visitation will be at Meldrum Mortuary, 52 N. Macdonald, Mesa, Arizona on Friday July 21 from 10 - 11 a.m. with services to be held there at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85024. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Valley, 6063 E. Arbor Ave., Mesa, Arizona 85206.
