Richard Peter Zervas, 83, of Flagstaff, died on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at his home with his wife and children by his side.
He was born on December 10, 1928 in Hamden, CT to Michael and Julia (Ossult) Zervas. Richard served in the United States Army during the Korean War obtaining the rank of Sergeant. He was an avid sailor, photographer, astronomer and a pretty darn good card player. Richard was a retired Computer Systems Analyst and he was also a member of the Masons and Rotary International.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Lydia B. Zervas, son and daughter-in-law; Michael R. and Cindy Rae Zervas and three grandchildren, Michael, Cody and Bailey. He is preceded in death by his son, Richard Peter Zervas, Jr., his parents and his brothers; George Zervas and Myron Zervas.
A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Richard’s life will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at The Peaks 3150 N. Winding Brook Rd.
