RILEY, Rosita


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 05/29/2012 Rosita Riley died May 20, 2012, in Mesa. She lived in Whiteriver, working at various stores on the reservation, she also helped out at the Maverick elk camps. Rosita loved to make dolls out of yarn, burden baskets, buckskin outfit, dolls, beadwork, moccasins and she loved to be outdoors and go for long joy rides. She is survived by her sons: Quinten Riley and Joseph Moody; daughters: Jolene Riley, Jennifer Moody, Sheila Moody, Sharla (Leighton) Thompson, Kaela (Edward) Tartsah; 21 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; brothers: Vernard White, Paul Isreal; sisters: Licivia Colelay, Annabell Riley, Jeanette White, Carol White and Christy Druse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Starrett Riley Jr.; son Stuart Moody; and mother Bessie White. Home funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 2 with interment at the Whiteriver Cemetery. Silver Creek of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
