Roger Allan Wolfer passed away at his home May 23, 2012 at the age of 64. Roger was born Sept. 10, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wis., to George and Arline (Waychoff) Wolfer.
Following high school graduation, Roger proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was honorably discharged March 27, 1970, after four years of active duty and served an additional two years in the Reserve. Roger was a painter by trade and he was also a skillful craftsman. No project was too big. He was active in the Moose Lodge and in his spare time enjoyed golf and boating on the lake. Roger’s beautiful smile and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
Roger is survived by his companion of 18 years, Robin Farhat; his daughter, Brenda Vento and her husband, Tom, of Brookfield, Wis.; son, Scott Wolfer and his wife, Grechen, of Delavan, Wis.; mother, Arline Wolfer, of Elkhorn, Wis.; brothers, George Wolfer, of Watertown, Wis., and Steve Wolfer, of Largo, Fla.; sisters, Terry Ketchpaw and her husband, Dave, of Elkhorn, Wis., and Laura Cunningham, of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Ryan and Cole Vento and Kyle and Mia Wolfer; nieces and nephews, Tony, Meghan, Alex and Amanda; and good friends, Mark Earnest and his children, Sarah and Parker, Ed Robinson and Tony and Cindy Macis.
