Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona Wednesday, May 30, 2012 Verna Suomela, age 92, of Miami, Ariz. passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Parkwood Ranch Group Home in Mesa, Ariz. Verna was born July 5, 1919 in Miami, Ariz., the daughter of Elizabeth (Carminati) and Samuel W. Kenton. She worked for the phone company for 37 years where she was one of the first three hired in the 1930s. Verna is preceded in death by her two husbands, Raymond Graham and Esko Suomela; her parents; son, Gerry Graham; and two sisters. Verna leaves behind in loving memory her son, Ron Graham of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; and two granddaughters, Lisa Marie Graham and Leane Kootz. Private family services will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements for Verna Suomela were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services, Globe.
