FANCHER, Ben

Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Publsihed on May 31, 2012 - Ben Fancher passed away in Camp Verde, Ariz., on Sunday, May 27, 2012, after an extended illness. Ben was born in Lovelock, Nev., on July 7, 1943, to Eph and Ada Fancher. Ben was a cowboy all his life and led many adventures. Ben held many interests such as roping, drawing, woodcraft, leatherwork, and writing poetry. He worked on ranches throughout the southwest and built many friendships along the way. Ben was respected and loved by all who got to know him. He held a special bond with all the children he met, and many of his stories are about the ranch kids he loved. Ben was preceded in death by his father; mother; sister, Margie; and sister, Janet. Ben is survived by his two sons, Bill and Jim; and his five grandchildren, James, Tom, Logan, Ethan and Hailey Fancher. Ben's laughter and practical joking will be greatly missed by all. Services will be held at noon on Saturday, June 2, at Lee Williams High School Auditorium, 400 Grandview Ave. A celebration of life at the Old Elks Lodge, 301 N. Fourth St., downtown Kingman, will immediately follow the graveside services.
