FRYE, II, Robert Nicholas


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 06/01/2012 Robert Nicholas Frye II, 67, died May 21, 2012, at his home in Vernon. He was born April 8, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio. As a lover of the outdoors, Robert hunted and fished Arizona’s game sharing his knowledge about the outdoors, he took his family on many memorable camping trips and explored many areas of Arizona. He was also an avid gardener and lover of animals. Robert served in the Army from 1963-66 with tours in the Dominican Republic and the Vietnam War. He was a very proud member of the 82nd Airborne and the First Calvary Division. After finally being in a place he loved, he passed away in Vernon, on his beautiful property surrounded by his wife, children and longtime friends. Robert is survived by his wife, Sandra Frye; daughters: Kimberly Lazok (William) and Wendy Frye; sons: Robert Frye III and Charles Frye (Stephanie); grandchildren: Ashley Vance, Amanda Lazok, Shane Taylor, Dustin Frye, Heather Frye, Candis Frye, Charles Frye Jr., and Natalie Frye; great-grandchildren: Emma, Mason, Emily, Elizabeth, Stephen and James; sister Carol Fisher; brother Stan Fisher and many nieces and nephews and cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Marcella Marie Fisher, father Robert Nicholas Frye Sr. and step-father Roscoe Hal Fisher. A celebration of life was held May 26, at his property in Vernon with his family and friends. A military ceremony is planned in Phoenix at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona for the family.
