REGAN, III, Miles Francis (Skip)

Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from June 1 to June 10, 2012 - Miles Francis "Skip" Regan III, age 78, of Bullhead City, Ariz., died on Monday, May 28, 2012, in Bullhead City. From the time Myles Francis "Skip" Regan III came into the world on October 23, 1933, his life-defining trait of eternal optimism took hold and never let up. The "imagination and idealism" of Hollywood captured his attention at the onset of his career where his stints at Republic Pictures and United Artists found him mastering the art of negotiation and loving film distribution. Eventually Skip took the ultimate entrepreneur's leap of faith, striking out on his own by creating Exhibitor's Co-op, a movie distribution company. Coinciding with this achievement, Skip began his other lifelong passion of helping people with addiction issues to get and stay sober. He moved to Bullhead City in 1984 where he had a Wednesday night men's stag meeting. He went to jails and institutions. In the face of great obstacles, Skip had the uncanny ability to help others, see the sunny side of any situation, and as a result changed the course of hundreds of lives along the way. Service was important to Skip. One of his proudest accomplishments bar none, is that his four children channel this same spirit of loyalty and service in all of their endeavors – family, business and community. Donna and Skip married in 1997. They shared everything with their guests, and never was there an argument or cross words. Donna will grieve her loss with the support of the AA Community. Skip will be missed! Along with his four children, Skip is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Regan; two brothers; two sisters; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2012, at Dimond and Sons, 2620 Silver Creek Road, Bullhead City, Ariz. A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the Alano Club of Bullhead City, 384 Marina Blvd., Bullhead City, Ariz. A second celebration of life will also be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, 2012, at The Harding Street Community Center in Carlsbad, Calif. We will serve cake, cookies and other desserts as well as coffee and punch.
