MCCOWAN, Charlcia N. (Girlie)

Parker Pioneer, Parker, AZ - Published on May 30, 2012 - Charlcia N. McCowan better known as “Girlie” passed away March 28, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nev. Girlie was born Sept. 16, 1964 to the late Morley McCowan and Dixie Mae Hogan. Her paternal grandparents were the late Maggie Thomas and George McCowan. Her maternal grandparents are Gertrude Van Fleet Dash and the late Clinton Hogan. Girlie went to a lot of different schools over the years and received her GED in March of 1985. In 2004, Girlie went to work for the BlueWater Resort & Casino as a Security Officer; she moved up to Corporal and then to Sergeant until 2007 when she resigned due to the loss of her daughter Maggie Mae. The day before Maggie Mae’s death, she had given birth to twins Anthony and Olivia. Girlie took on the responsibility of caring for them. Daughter, Maggie Mae Logan; her son Douglas Scott Jr.; and her brother Corwin McCowan preceded Girlie in death. Girlie is survived by her children Justin, Debra, Kyle and Chelsee; grandchildren, Andrew Scott, Joseph Logan, Nicholas Logan, Olivia and Anthony Logan and Amorey Scott, Xaviar Scott, Leon Sharp, Kenyon Sharp, Leanna & Justine, Jaimee, Artemia, Johanna and Leander; brothers, Frank, Delwin, Morlan Sr.; sisters Georgina, Berdette, Lela, Vianne, Ethelyn, Marla and numerous nephews and nieces.
