WARDER, Tristen Hunter


Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Saturday, June 02, 2012 Tristen Hunter Warder, 16, died May 31, 2012, at the Flagstaff Medical Center. He was born July 16, 1995, in Brownwood, Texas, the son of Tommy and Stephanie Warder. He resided with his father, Tommy, and his step-mother, Kim Warder, in Parks, Arizona. Tristen is survived by his two brothers, Justin and Jordon, his grandparents, Lee and Janice Warder of Gainesville, Texas, and Frank and Linda Corelli of Helendale, California, great grandmother, Lucile Lough of Bridgeport, West Virginia and his step-grandfather, who he loved to call, “Spoiler.” Tristen had a huge family of cousins and was very close to them all and he loved to share his life with his girlfriend, Lindsey Smith. Tristen was a junior at Flagstaff High School, participating in the C.A.V.I.A.T. Program, a program for exceptional high school students to gain college credit. He was working toward his B.S, degree in Nursing, while holding a near perfect grade point average. He loved the outdoors and participating in all outdoor activities with his dad, his brothers and his PePa Lee. From a young child, Tristen was the most patient of fishermen. He would sit on his grandparents dock in Texas and watch his bobber for hours, even when the fish weren’t biting. He loved to hunt and shoot his bow. His PaPa Frank taught him to play golf and he loved it. Last year he played on the Flagstaff Varsity Golf team. Tristen was passionate not just about doing well in school, but taking good care of the body God gave him. He worked out and lifted weights five days a week. He loved baseball. He played ball from the time he was a toddler and in organized baseball as soon as possible. Tristen was always there to be a friend to those who needed one and was a positive influence and inspiration to everyone around him. A celebration of Tristen’s life will be held at Coconino Community College, Lone Tree Campass, 2800 S. Lone Tree Road, Flagstaff, Arizona at 12:00 noon on Sunday, June 3rd. His family ask in lieu of flowers that you spend the time that it would take to order them to discuss organ donation with your family members. Tristen is making miracles happen and so can you.
